Plumpy’Nut® has revolutionised the treatment of severe acute malnutrition. It has made it possible to provide treatment at home, thereby considerably increasing the number of malnourished children treated, while improving adherence to treatment and the recovery rate.
Plumpy’Nut® does not replace a varied and nutritious diet or breastfeeding. Breastfeeding immediately after birth, exclusively for the first 6 months, is recommended for at least 24 months.
