Founded in 2011 and a member of the network since then.
Samil was created from a joint initiative between the Yagoub family businesses and Nutriset to combat malnutrition in Sudanese children, who are severely affected by it, and to broadly improve their health.
Thanks to the industrial experience of the Yagoub Group, Samil quickly became operational with a modern manufacturing unit in Khartoum, enabling it to immediately cover a significant part of Sudan’s needs for ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTF).
With a naturally favorable peanut culture in Sudanese lands, Samil established a state-of-the-art peanut processing and roasting facility near its production site, thereby adding value to the local agricultural economy. Thanks to its expertise in peanut production and quality assurance processes, Samil supports Sudanese supply chains, reduces its dependency on importing raw materials, and positions itself as a supplier of choice on the African continent.
At Samil, we are committed to manufacturing a product of the highest quality for the prevention and treatment of malnutrition among the most vulnerable populations in Sudan and its region. We also strive to promote local ingredients such as peanuts.
