Edesia is a non-profit organization with a primary mission: to eradicate malnutrition globally. Its action focuses on four key aspects: the production of high-quality ready-to-use foods (RUF), improving distribution systems and optimizing the use of RUF through research and development, supporting local RUF producers in developing countries, and engaging in awareness and advocacy activities to highlight the issues of malnutrition.
From Providence, Rhode Island, where its production site has been located since the beginning, the 157 employees of Edesia work hand in hand with research institutions, NGOs, and the U.S. government to promote the importance of nutritious food products in international food aid.”
Climate change, conflicts, and economic crises are increasing the need for our products to levels never seen before. Three million children will die from malnutrition in 2024, and 100% of these deaths are preventable. We have the teams, the production capabilities, and life-saving solutions.
