Quality is paramount to meet nutritional specifications. We are grateful to collaborate with various stakeholders in peanut analysis. Special thanks to JLA Argentina, Prof. Dave Hoisington from the Peanut Innovation Lab at The University of Georgia, USA, and Bless Laboratory Services PLC in Ethiopia.
Few weeks ago, we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Krithika Anbazhagan from ICRISAT – International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Hyderabad and Anupa Alice Mathew from the University of Basel. Together, they scanned the VAMP (varietal selection for the enhancement of raw material) peanut collection to refine the developed NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy) on raw peanuts.
This method offers a rapid, low-cost, and reliable solution for qualifying raw peanuts. Stakeholders along the peanut value chain can benefit from this easy hands-on technique to ensure peanut quality in terms of fatty acid profiling.
Thank you Dr. Krithika, for your dedication to this project and for sharing your passion for portable NIRS with us!
