Sanae: The First Edition of AINES

3 June 2026

Sanae, which specialises in nutritional support for older adults, launched the first edition of AINES (Assises Interactives de Nutrition dans l’Environnement des Séniors), an event dedicated to a key issue in the health and social care sector: harnessing nutrition to support healthy ageing in nursing homes.

Held on 28 May 2026, this inaugural event brought together committed professionals with a shared ambition: to promote comprehensive care in nursing homes, break down barriers between departments, rethink organisational approaches and take collective action against malnutrition.

The event provided a forum for discussion and reflection, structured around four complementary perspectives aimed at advancing practices within care facilities:

  • Breaking down barriers as a key to success in care facilities, with Laurent Soyer, Director of Catering Services at Rouen University Hospital
  • The impact of a multidisciplinary approach, presented by Alexandre Mari, Deputy Director of La Filandière nursing home in Déville
  • The challenges associated with changing nutritional practices, explored by Loren Maurent, Dietitian and founder of Straté’Table
  • The role of medical care in supporting older adults, with Dr Christine Vermandel, Coordinating Physician at Les Iliades nursing home

Beyond the presentations, AINES encouraged dialogue between the various stakeholders in the health and social care sector and highlighted the importance of a collective approach to better address the nutritional needs of older adults.

Through this initiative, Sanae reaffirms its commitment to supporting care facilities and professionals as nutritional practices evolve, by encouraging the sharing of expertise and the development of solutions tailored to older adults’ needs.

This first edition of AINES confirmed a strong conviction: by bringing together expertise and working collectively, we can sustainably rethink nutritional support for older adults.
