This weekend, at the port of Le Havre, the departure of our products took on a very special significance. Behind every pallet shipped, there is far more than logistics: there is a collective commitment and a concrete mobilisation in response to a humanitarian emergency.
In total, 384 tonnes of nutritional solutions were delivered to children in Gaza, where the situation is particularly concerning. Tens of thousands of children are currently exposed to a critical risk of severe acute malnutrition.
Produced and packaged at Nutriset’s site in Malaunay, these ready-to-use nutritional supplements, including Plumpy’Doz™, were designed to prevent and address malnutrition from the age of 6 months. Their individual sachet format and high content of essential nutrients enable rapid and appropriate care in the field.
This exceptional shipment was made possible thanks to the commitment of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the CMA CGM Foundation. It illustrates the strength of concrete partnerships between public and private actors, working together to respond effectively to humanitarian crises.
The distribution of these products will be handled by partner humanitarian organisations, including the World Food Programme, to help support the most vulnerable children in the coming weeks.
