The nutritional situation in West Africa is worrying: 190 million people lack micronutrients such as iron and vitamin A, while 2 million children are born with a low birth weight. In Guinea, the acute malnutrition rate is 9%, according to a recent study by the Ministry of Health.
In June 2018, the President of the Republic of Guinea, Prof. Alpha Condé laid the foundation stone of the Nutriguinée’s factory site, based in Dubréka, for the manufacturing of specialized food products for the prevention and treatment of malnutrition.
The partnership with Laborex for the pharmaceutical distribution of the Enov ® range supports the action of the Ministry of Health of Guinea, and is part of a new approach of public-private partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and tackle malnutrition.
